Welcome to the Cooper Lake

We will be adding more clips over time. Cooper is a big secret and the locals try and keep it a secret. Since the lake has filled up the Hybrid fishing has exploded. We are seeing large numbers of fish from 4-5 lbs and it is not uncommon to catch them up to 10 lbs. Topwater Hybrids was shot in September on one of Cooper's main lake humps. The clip is 38 seconds long and is 2.5MB. There are 2 fish caught on a spook and both weighed 3.5-4 lbs Swim Bait Hybrids was shot on Oct 23. The clip is 1 minute long at 4.6MB .I actually fished for a little over 11 minutes to make this video. I left at 4:00 and had the boat back on the trailer before 4:30pm. The camera angle is from the bottom of the boat for a reason (to keep you guessing where I am) although, there is one clue in the video that might let you in on where I am fishing. If you figure it out...don't announce it all over the web. Trolling for Hybrids was shot on November 13th The clip is 2 minutes long at 7.6MB. This was a half day guide trip that started slow due to the high winds. There are some great shots of hybrids on my Lowrance 332c depth finder. The fish in the video weigh 4.5 to 6lbs and were caught on a chartreuse crankbait. They seemed to be roaming in a 20 foot of water flat. Casting for Crappie was shot on Nov 29. At 4.8MB and about a minute long it's not the best camera work we've ever done but, it was a windy day and we made the best of it. Had about 30 nice crappie in a half a day that were caught by casting to a riprap bank. The fish came out of 10-18feet of water and almost all were caught on jigs: white/chart, white/brown, blue/white The Hook Set video was shot on December 8 the day before a cold front. The clip is about 1 min and 4.9MB. Its early in the morning at the dam on Cooper throwing swim baits. The fish bit as good as it gets...we did some special editing on this one to spruce it up a little! Enjoy Shallow Water Hybrids was shot Feb 29th 2008. Fish were caught on swim baits and Lake Fork's magic shad. It's about 2.5 minutes long and 9.27MB...a quick over view of the day. I am not sure how many we caught (somewhere between 50-70?) but, there were a few other boats in the area and they were all catching fish 2 and 3 at a time from 4.5-7lbs!! It doesn't get much better than that. Another Good Day on Cooper was 7-13-08. This is just a short overview of the day with a Father/Daughter trip. Fish were caught on white slabs Mid Summer Slabbin' was on 7-19-08...these guys are had some fun that day! Kid Video - Oct 2007 kids sand bassin' with minnows. Topwater Sandies July 08' sand bass school all over the lake. A short video of some of that schooling action and a few caught on a Spook. |
